Reds vs. Cardinals series preview

Where: Great American Ball Park.

TV: Fox Sports Net, all games.

Radio: WLW-AM (700).

Records: Reds 50-49, third place in the National League Central. Cardinals 62-36, first place in the NL Central.

The arms: Today - RHP Paul Wilson (9-2, 3.71 ERA) vs. RHP Woody Williams (7-6, 4.02); Tuesday - RHP Cory Lidle (6-8, 5.19) vs. RHP Jason Marquis (10-4, 3.76); Thursday - RHP Jose Acevedo (4-9, 6.09) vs. RHP Jeff Suppan (9-6, 3.73).

The bats: Albert Pujols has 28 home runs and 28 strikeouts. Pujols (72 RBI), Scott Rolen (20 HRs, 88 RBI) and Jim Edmonds (24 HRs, 64 RBI) are the best No. 3, 4 and 5 trio in baseball.

The rest: The Reds are 2-8 against the Cardinals this season, including 1-3 at Great American Ball Park.
