CLEVELAND - Ricardo Rodriguez holds no grudges against the Cleveland Indians, although his performance said otherwise.
Rodriguez (2-0) pitched a three-hitter for his first career shutout and David Dellucci hit two of Texas' four home runs in leading the Rangers to a 10-0 win Thursday.
"I treat the Indians like any other team," said Rodriguez, who faced them for the first time since Cleveland traded him to Texas last July 18. "I left everything that happened behind me and I'm happy here."
Texas won for the fifth time in six games and remained in first place in the AL West by taking three of four games at Jacobs Field. The Indians lost for the seventh time in 10 games and were shut out for the third time this season.
White Sox 9, Angels 8
CHICAGO - Juan Uribe's single with one out in the bottom of the ninth scored Jose Valentin, helping Chicago snap a five-game losing streak.
Damaso Marte (3-2) struck out two in 2/3 of an inning and got the win.
Twins 7, Tigers 1
MINNEAPOLIS - Cristian Guzman's three-run homer capped a five-run seventh inning and Minnesota won its fourth consecutive.
Guzman drove in four runs, including a tying double in the sixth. He lined a 3-2 pitch from Mike Maroth (5-7) over the left-field fence to finish the rally.
Blue Jays 10, Mariners 8
TORONTO - Carlos Delgado's three-run homer in the ninth inning rallied Toronto to victory over struggling Seattle.
Down 8-6 in the ninth, Dave Berg homered off Eddie Guardado (2-1) with one out. Chris Gomez followed with a single, but Orlando Hudson struck out for the second out. Reed Johnson singled before Delgado hit the first pitch into the second deck in right field.
Red Sox 8, Athletics 7, (10 innings)
BOSTON - Bill Mueller drove in Johnny Damon with a RBI double in the bottom of the 10th inning as Boston defeated Oakland. Manny Ramirez hit his 24th home run, and David Ortiz hit his 23rd.
Yankees 7, Devil Rays 1
NEW YORK - Jose Contreras gave the Yankees the strong start they needed, and Derek Jeter drove home two runs with a pair of doubles in New York's victory over Tampa Bay.
Gary Sheffield hit a two-run homer, and Hideki Matsui a two-run double for the Yankees, who had allowed 49 runs in losing five of their past six games.
