LOUISVILLE - Dave Gassner gave up one run in seven innings as Rochester beat the Louisville Bats 7-2 on Friday at Slugger Field.
Gassner (9-5) surrendered just six hits, one walk and struck out four. Todd Dunwoody, who finished with two RBI, started a three-run third inning for the Red Wings with an RBI double. Justin Morneau added three hits and two scores for Rochester.
Louisville managed just seven hits in the game. Dane Sardinha went 2-for-4 and Reggie Taylor added a pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning.
Louisville starter Jung Kuen Bong (4-5) gave up seven runs on nine hits in five innings of work. Bong was making his first start since being optioned back to Louisville from the Cincinnati Reds.
