LOUISVILLE - Mark Smith homered and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 11th inning to lift Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to a 7-6 win over Louisville on Sunday night in the International League.
Jim Rushford homered and tied a Red Barons' record with five hits. The Red Barons came back from an early 4-1 deficit with the help of four Louisville errors.
Scranton reliever Dan Giese (9-2) earned the win, allowing a run on a hit with two strikeouts in two innings of work. Spike Lundberg shut out the Bats in the 11th to earn his second save.
Louisville reliever Scott Randall (1-3) took the loss, allowing a run on three hits in the decisive 11th.
