CLEVELAND - Ichiro Suzuki had four hits, including a home run, and Jamie Moyer and Seattle sent the Cleveland Indians to their season-high seventh straight loss, 7-3 Wednesday night.
Seattle's Edgar Martinez hit his 236th homer as a designated hitter, passing Harold Baines as the all-time leader among DHs.
"This record is not like Pete Rose or anything," said Martinez, who has 301 lifetime homers. "It's nice when it happens, but anybody can do it."
Raul Ibanez also homered as the Mariners roughed up C.C. Sabathia (2-3). The Cleveland lefty gave up a career-high 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Yankees 12, Orioles 9
BALTIMORE - Gary Sheffield went 4-for-5 with a homer and six RBI, and New York handed Baltimore its sixth straight loss.
In a wild game that featured 30 hits, five home runs and a 65-minute rain delay, the Yankees blew a 7-3 lead by allowing six runs in the sixth, then rallied against the Baltimore bullpen in the seventh.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Matt Stairs and Mike Sweeney hit two-run homers to power Kansas City. Sweeney, who hit his fourth homer in eight games, also had two singles and scored three runs for the Royals, who have won 15 of their last 20 games against Detroit.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Jacque Jones had a go-ahead, two-run double and Minnesota snapped Tampa Bay's longest winning streak in four seasons at five games.
Red Sox 9, Athletics 6
BOSTON - Jason Varitek hit a three-run homer, and Derek Lowe (4-4) allowed five runs and nine hits in six innings, leading Boston to its fifth consecutive win and ninth in 11 games.
Blue Jays 6, Angels 5
TORONTO - Vernon Wells and Gregg Zaun hit run-scoring singles in the ninth inning off Troy Percival as Toronto rallied for the victory. Terry Adams (4-3) pitched two shutout innings for the Blue Jays, who had lost four of their previous five games.
White Sox 4, Rangers 0
CHICAGO - Esteban Loaiza allowed two hits and struck out nine in eight innings for Chicago. Loaiza (6-3) struck out Alfonso Soriano in the fourth inning for his 1,000th career strikeout, then struck out the side in the fifth.
