NEW YORK - Baseball commissioner Bud Selig expressed confidence Thursday that a new home for the Montreal Expos will be selected by mid-July.

He also said a decision whether to start a World Cup tournament next March must be made within a month.

INJURY REPORT: The New York Mets placed pitcher Al Leiter on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 12. Leiter missed his last start because of left shoulder tendinitis.
