LOUISVILLE - Catcher Ryan Hankins had four of Charlotte's 18 hits and Mario Valenzuela hit two home runs as the Knights beat the Louisville Bats 10-2 Sunday afternoon.
Charlotte scored six runs in the fifth inning to take an 8-2 lead, led by Hankins' three-run home run. Kelly Dransfeldt added a solo homer in the fifth, and finished with three hits.
Valenzuela finished with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Bats starter Jung Keun Bong (3-3) surrendered five earned runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings. Felipe Lopez, with two hits, was the lone bright spot in Louisville's offense.
Knights starter Jason Grilli (2-3) gave up two runs in five innings of work, but he also walked eight batters.
