LOUISVILLE - Jim Chamblee hit his fifth career grand slam to lead Louisville to a 9-6 win over Charlotte on Saturday night in the International League.

Chamblee homered in the first inning off Charlotte starter Enemencio Pacheco (0-1). The Bats scored in each of the first five innings and built an 8-1 lead.

Felipe Lopez and Reggie Taylor had RBI doubles and Jermaine Clark had a solo home run for the Bats.

Bryant Nelson and Mario Valenzuela homered for the Knights.

Louisville starter Joe Valentine (2-1) earned the win, allowing a run on three hits with five strikeouts across five innings of work.
