DURHAM, N.C. - Jung Keon Bong tossed seven shutout innings and Ray Olmedo had two hits to help the Louisville Bats beat the Durham Bulls 3-0 in the International League on Tuesday.
Bong (3-2) struck out seven and allowed only two hits for the Bats (11-14), who have won three straight games. Mike Matthews and Brian Mallette combined to give up only one hit over the final two innings, with Mallette picking up his third save.
Jorge Cantu had two hits for Durham (14-9), which has lost two straight.
The Bats went ahead for good with a run in the third inning, and also scored in the sixth and the ninth. Tim Hummel had two hits and an RBI and Dane Sardinha went 2-for-4 and scored a run.
Jorge Sosa (0-2) struck out 10 and allowed only one run in five innings but picked up the loss.
