AAA: Norfolk 5, Louisville 2

By The Associated Press

NORFOLK, Va. - Randy Keisler and Jason Roach combined to strike out 11 batters Saturday as the Norfolk Tides beat the Louisville Bats 5-2 in the International League.

Keisler (1-0) picked up the win, allowing four hits in five innings. Roach allowed five hits in 3 2/3 innings, but struck out five batters to help give Norfolk the win.

John Pachot led the way on offense, homering to left field in the third. Wilson Delgado added two RBIs on a double to right field in the fifth inning that gave the Tides a 4-1 lead.

Louisville picked up a run on a Stephen Smitherman single to center field in the ninth, but the Bats could get no closer.

Pedro Feliciano closed out the game for the Tides to pick up the save.

Joe Valentine (0-1) got the loss, allowing nine hits and four runs in 4 1/3 innings.
