SARASOTA, Fla. - Ken Griffey Jr. left Monday night's game with a strained right calf.
"It doesn't look very serious," team medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek said. "He's day-to-day. We'll re-evaluate him (today).
"On these type of things, you can't tell right away. We'll know more in 24 hours."
Griffey injured himself breaking out of the batter's box on a groundout in the first inning.
Griffey played center field in the top of the second and then left the game.
Griffey's season ended last year when he tore a tendon in his right ankle July 18.
