How acquired: Signed a two-year contract Jan. 12, 2003.

Favorite movie: "Jaws. I've seen it a million times. It doesn't matter when it's on or wherever, I'll stop what I'm doing and start watching."

Favorite magazine: Florida Sportsman.

Hobbies: Fishing.

Biggest fish he's caught: A 650-pound Black Marlin taken last year off the coast of Australia.

Injury report

Right fielder Austin Kearns was held out of the lineup with upper back spasms. He is day-to-day.

Third baseman Brandon Larson (turf toe) fielded ground balls and took batting practice prior to Friday's game. He is day-to-day.

GAME REPORT: Reds 6, Phillies 1

The bats: Wily Mo Pena hit a grand slam in the eighth inning to break open the game. Pena is hitting .462 over his last 12 games. Adam Dunn also homered. Dunn has four homers and 10 RBI in the last 12 games.

The arms: Jesus Sanchez, after giving up four runs in his last outing, threw six innings of shutout ball. He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out three. His ERA is 2.00 in 18 innings.

The rest: The Reds have won three straight to improve to 13-14. The Reds made their 33rd and 34th errors of the spring.

Next: The Reds play the Cleveland Indians at Ed Smith Stadium. Right-hander Todd Van Poppel (0-1, 8.10 ERA) faces right-hander Jason Davis (0-0, 3.00). The game is on Fox Sports Net.
