This is our final look at the postseason matchups if the season were to end today.
Next week, we'll know the real matchups:
National League
Atlanta vs. Houston: This could well be Chicago vs. Atlanta. But Houston looks as though it will hang on. The Astros look tough with Roy Oswalt back and that bullpen. The Braves have that awesome lineup, but John Smoltz's elbow is key.
San Francisco vs. Philadelphia: This matchup won't be decided until the last few days. You have to take Bonds and Co. against Philly or Florida.
American League
New York Yankees vs. Minnesota: Twins came on strong at the right time, but they have struggled against the Yankees. The Yankees, for all their flaws, could win 100 games.
Oakland vs. Boston: Oakland keeps rolling despite the injuries. The Red Sox are superior offensively. Could the world stand a Yankees-Red Sox ALCS?
