ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Victor Zambrano pitched his first career complete game and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays once again roughed up Barry Zito, beating the Oakland Athletics 11-2 Sunday.
Zambrano (10-8) gave up nine hits, walked none and struck out eight in his 35th major league start.
Zito (11-12), the 2002 AL Cy Young winner, was tagged for seven runs and six hits over 5 1/3 innings.

NEW YORK - David Wells took a shutout into the eighth inning, and Bernie Williams broke a scoreless tie in the seventh with his first home run since mid-August, leading New York past Boston.
The Yankees boosted their division lead to 2 1/2 games with three weeks remaining.

CHICAGO - Frank Thomas hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh in Chicago's win.
Thomas was in an 0-for-11 slide when he hit the first pitch from reliever Danys Baez into the seats in left field.
Orioles 2, Mariners 1
BALTIMORE - Pat Hentgen allowed five hits in eight innings and Brian Roberts' bat led Baltimore past Seattle.
Roberts went 2-for-4 and capped a two-run third inning against Freddy Garcia with an RBI single.
Twins 5, Rangers 4, 10 innings
MINNEAPOLIS - Torii Hunter hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to give Minnesota Twins the win.
The Twins are tied with Chicago for first place in the AL Central.

TORONTO - Frank Catalanotto homered twice and Josh Towers pitched seven scoreless innings as Toronto won its third straight.

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Paul Abbott and two relievers combined on a five-hitter and Aaron Guiel and Ken Harvey hit home runs to lead Kansas City.
