Ohio team loses again in LL Series pool play

The Enquirer and wire reports

Richie DeJesus hit a home run and added an RBI single to lead Boynton Beach to a 7-2 victory over Tallmadge, Ohio, in pool play Sunday at South Williamsport, Pa.

Boynton Beach improved to 2-0 and closed in on a spot in the U.S. semifinals. Tallmadge - the only U.S. team to reach the World Series without a loss - was all but eliminated by its second loss in as many games.

Anton Chekalin scored the go-ahead run in Russia's first-ever World Series win, 2-0 over Guam.
