Reds vs. D-Backs series preview



When: Today, Wednesday and Thursday, 7:10 p.m.

Where: Great American Ball Park.

TV: Fox Sports Net, today, Thursday.

Radio: WLW (700 AM).

Records: Reds 52-63, fifth place in the National League Central. Diamondbacks 62-55, second place in the NL West.

The arms: Today - RHP Paul Wilson (6-9, 5.11 ERA) vs. RHP Curt Schilling (5-6, 2.81); Wednesday - LHP John Bale (0-0, 1.35) vs. RHP Miguel Batista (6-6, 2.92); Thursday - RHP Aaron Harang (1-0. 4.76) vs. RHP Brandon Webb (7-5, 2.45).

The bats: Luis Gonzalez (.313, 20 home runs and 76 RBI) is having a good year, as is Steve Finley (.300, 18 HRs, 55 RBI) but production falls off after them.

The rest: The Diamondbacks have beaten the Reds 14 straight times, dating back to May 7, 2001.
