Dave Miley's first win as Reds manager came as would be expected from the 2004 Reds - in walk-off style.
Adam Dunn lined one between first baseman Todd Helton's legs with the bases loaded to lift the Reds to a 3-2 victory over Colorado in 10 innings Wednesday before 23,962 at Great American Ball Park.
"Dunner hit that ball about as far as he could," Miley said. "I was partially blocked (from seeing it). I was pretty elated when I finally saw it roll though."
It was the Reds' 24th win in their last at-bat, 11th walk-off win and Miley's first as a major-league manager. It came after 1,115 victories as a minor-league skipper.
"It's a pretty awesome feeling," Miley said. "You guys know all I've been through. I owe these guys a lot."
Russell Branyan, only in the lineup because Jose Guillen was traded two hours before the game, doubled off the top of the fence in right with one out in the 10th. The Rockies intentionally walked Sean Casey, then Aaron Boone, the most coveted Red as today's 4 p.m. trading deadline approaches, hit a little spinner back to Colorado closer Jose Jimenez. Jimenez bobbled it, and the bases were loaded for Dunn.
A Reds fan at Wednesday night's game holds up a sign expressing displeasure at the club's flurry of moves.

Guillen's trade came the day after Scott Williamson was dealt, and rumors were flying about Boone.
"It's a hard time of year to stay focused," starter Danny Graves said. "There's a lot going on. But once 7:10 came around, everyone focused on playing a good game. It felt so good to win."
Jason LaRue had tied the game at 2-2 with a long home run into the second deck in left field to lead off the ninth. The homer was LaRue's 12th, tying his career high.
Graves (4-12) went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits. He struck out three and walked none.
The Reds managed only one run on three hits off Colorado ace Shawn Chacon.
Graves was coming off a complete-game, three-run outing. He allowed only one runner past first through four innings.
The Rockies got on the board in the fifth. Charles Johnson crushed one that ended up in the second deck in left-center. It was the sixth ball hit into the bleacher seats up there - five have come off the bats of Reds opponents.
The Reds got something going in the fifth. LaRue led off and was hit by a pitch, marking the 13th time this year he has been hit - third most in the National League. After Reggie Taylor just missed hitting one out to right, Graves sacrificed LaRue to second. D'Angelo Jimenez got him home with a double into the right-field corner. Before that, Jimenez was hitting .059 with runners in scoring position and .417 without runners in scoring position.
