While Chicago Cubs pitcher Mark Prior will be receiving an extra $1.6 million for being selected to the All-Star Game, Reds third baseman Aaron Boone will receive nothing but recognition for his trip to Chicago.

Prior was the biggest winner at the bank among the 63 players picked Sunday for the July 15 game.

Prior's contract calls for him to get a $100,000 bonus for his All-Star selection, and $500,000 salary increases in the 2004, '05 and '06 seasons. With the extra income, the value of his five-year contract has increased from $10.5 million to $12.1 million.

Three others also received automatic raises next year because they were chosen for the game. Montreal's Jose Vidro got a $250,000 increase to $7.75 million, Anaheim's Garret Anderson received a $350,000 boost to $6.2 million, and Milwaukee's Richie Sexson got a $300,000 bump to $8.6 million.

All three also are getting $25,000 bonuses for making their All-Star teams.

In all, 47 players will receive a total of $2.24 million in bonuses, up from $1,875,000 for the players picked for the original teams last year.

The figures don't include the salary increases for subsequent seasons. Seattle's Ichiro Suzuki gets the largest bonus, $125,000. Barry Bonds, Kevin Brown, Alex Rodriguez, C.C. Sabathia and Prior each get $100,000, and Manny Ramirez and Kerry Wood both get $75,000.

Although he won't get a bonus, Boone will get to see his brother, Bret, selected to the AL team.
