Reds-Marlins Series Preview



When: 7:10 p.m. today, Saturday; 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Great American Ball Park.

TV: Fox Sports Net, today.

Radio: WLW-AM (700).

Records: Reds 24-22, second place in the National League Central. Florida 19-28, fifth place in the NL East.

The arms: Today - RHP Jeff Austin (2-1, 5.53) vs. RHP Brad Penny (2-3, 4.20); Saturday - RHP Paul Wilson (2-3, 5.05) vs. LHP Tony Phelps (0-0, 1.06); Sunday - RHP Danny Graves (3-2, 4.91 ERA) vs. LHP Dontrelle Willis (1-1, 7.07).

The bats: Mike Lowell is having a big year (14 home runs, 37 RBI). Alex Gonzalez is next in power categories with nine homers and 28 RBI. Former Red Juan Encarnacion is hitting .276 with five home runs and 23 RBI.

The rest: This, of course, is the homecoming for former Reds manager Jack McKeon. The Reds took five of six from the Marlins last year.
