Ticket sales brisk at open house

Cincinnati Enquirer

Some Reds fans left Great American Ball Park last weekend with more than a memory of their first glimpse inside the new ballpark.

Saturday and Sunday's open house drew 212,000 fans and led to a modest spike in ticket sales.

The equivalent of 150 season tickets and 5,000 single-game tickets were sold during the two-day event, Reds director of media relations Rob Butcher said Monday.

The Reds break camp on Thursday in Florida, but most players won't get their first look at the finished stadium until Friday's exhibition against the Indians.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
