John Smoltz struggled in his one inning against Montreal, giving up two runs and three hits as the Expos defeated the Braves 6-4.

• Orlando Hudson had a homer and three RBI for the Blue Jays in a 10-9 win over the Pirates.

• Todd Sears and Michael Restovich hit two-run homers off Pat Hentgen as the Twins defeated the Orioles 11-1.

• Hector Ortiz's RBI single gave the Devil Rays a 2-1 victory over the Tigers.

• Alan Zinter and Brian Hunter hit solo home runs off Phillies closer Jose Mesa to give the Astros to a 2-1 victory.

• John Olerud had a homer and four RBI as the Mariners beat the Brewers 6-3.

• Barry Bonds hit his third home run of the spring as the Giants and Padres played to a 10-10 tie in 10 innings.

• Mark Mulder allowed one run and four hits in four innings of Oakland's 4-3 victory over the Royals.

• Juan Gonzalez hit a two-run double, but the Rangers blew a six-run lead in a 9-8 loss to the White Sox.

• Todd Helton homered in the Rockies' 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

• Mark Prior allowed one hit over three scoreless innings for the Cubs in a 5-4 win over the Angels.

• Jose Contreras allowed three runs on four hits in three innings, but the Yankees beat the Red Sox 7-4.

• Rick Ankiel gave up three runs and five hits in one inning, and the Cardinals lost 6-5 to the Dodgers.
