Reds caravan begins today



The Reds' 2003 Winter Caravan begins today in Dayton, continues Friday in Lima and Columbus, and concludes Saturday in Charleston, W.Va., Lexington and Louisville.

All caravan stops are free and open to the public.

Among those scheduled to appear on the caravan are manager Bob Boone, pitching coach Don Gullett, radio broadcaster Marty Brennaman, outfielder Austin Kearns and third baseman Brandon Larson.

Today's program will be held at University of Dayton Arena, beginning at 7 p.m.

Friday's events will be at the Lima Civic Center (noon to 2 p.m.) and Flannagan's Dublin in Columbus (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.).

Saturday's festivities are at Charlestown Center Mall (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.); Lexington's Fayette Mall (3 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and the Louisville Slugger Museum (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
