Reds host Pirates on Opening Day
Yankees also coming to new ballpark next season
It's official: The Reds will open Great American Ball Park on Monday, March 31, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Then, after a day off, the Reds play the Pirates April 2 and 3 before playing host to the Chicago Cubs for a three-game series beginning April 4.
Some other highlights of the Reds' 2003 schedule, which was released Tuesday, are that the Reds will host the New York Yankees in a three-game series June 3-5 and resume interleague play against the Cleveland Indians with a three-game series at Jacobs Field June 27-29.
Tickets will go on sale at a date to be announced, Reds officials said.
