More softball tickets available

An additional 1,500 tickets for the softball game between former Cincinnati Reds' all-stars and other Major League Baseball greats - being billed as the “Farewell to Riverfront/Cinergy Field” - will go on sale Sept. 23, the day of the game.

The sold-out game will feature former Reds, including Pete Rose, Joe Morgan and Johnny Bench, against the likes of former Major League Baseball All-Stars such as Gary Carter, Steve Garvey, Andre Dawson and Ryne Sandberg.

Other Reds to be featured in the game include Eric Davis, Chris Sabo, Rob Dibble and Tom Browning.

In addition to the softball game, there will be an autograph session before the game, a three-inning celebrity softball game, a home run competition and fireworks after the show.

Tickets, which sold for $20 and $30, lasted just 2 1/2 hours after they went on sale. Prices for the standing-room-only tickets haven't been set, but they will be in the same range, said promoter Marty Garafalo.

And everyone who buys a ticket will get a Pete Rose bobblehead doll, Mr. Garafalo said.
