LOUISVILLE, Ky. Jose Guillen hit a three-run home run as Louisville beat the Indianapolis Indians 5-1 in the International League on Saturday.
Gerald Williams and Chris Sexton each had two hits and an RBI, as the Bats snapped a three-game losing streak.
Jim Rushford went 3-for-4 and Chris Jones, Bobby Smith and Bill Hall each had two hits for the Indians.
Louisville starter Jared Fernandez lasted eight innings, giving up one run on ten hits. He struck out eight. Fernandez had spent July and most of August with the Cincinnati Reds, where he went 1-3 with a 4.27 ERA in eight starts. Mike Neu pitched a scoreless ninth for the Bats.
Tim Harikkala took the loss after giving up five runs in six innings.
