The Mets activated third baseman Edgardo Alfonzo from the 15-day DL before Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies.
Alfonzo had been on the DL since Aug.4 with a left oblique strain. He was batting .323 with 10 home runs and 42 RBI in 103 games.
ASTROS: Houston placed outfielder Richard Hidalgo on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with a right hip strain and recalled outfielder Jason Lane from Triple-A New Orleans.
Lane is hitting .294 with one RBI in 14 games with the Astros this season.
DODGERS: Left fielder Brian Jordan, who has played in only one of the Dodgers' last 14 games because of a protruding disc in his lower back, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday.
The move was retroactive to Aug.17. Jordan was hurt Aug.5 at Philadelphia while backing away from a high inside pitch.
BRAVES: The Braves activated left-handed reliever Mike Remlinger from the 15-day disabled list Saturday and optioned rookie right-hander Kevin Gryboski to Triple-A Richmond.
