COLUMBUS, Ohio Kevin Witt hit a three-run homer and Jason Maxwell's sacrifice fly scored the 12th-inning tiebreaker to give the Louisville Bats an 8-7 victory Sunday over the Columbus Clippers in the International League.
After Witt's homer in the first inning, the Bats added three runs in the third for a 6-0 lead.
Juan Rivera had a three-run homer in the third for the Clippers.
Columbus rallied in the ninth with three runs to tie the game 7-7.
Mike Neu (2-3) pitched two scoreless innings of relief for the win.
Jason Alexander (4-1) took the loss, allowing the winning run during his 3 2-3 innings.
