Louisville takes over first place

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Felipe Lira allowed one run in seven innings Thursday night to lead the Louisville Bats to a 6-3 win over the Toledo Mud Hens in the International League. Lira (4-5) struck out six and scattered eight hits as the Reds' Triple-A club moved past the Mud Hens into first place in the Western Division.
Toledo starter Pat Ahearne (3-3) took the loss, allowing six runs on 11 hits.
Jesse Levis hit a two-run triple and Corky Miller went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Louisville.
Craig Wilson went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Derek Nicholson went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for Toledo.
