The arms: Today RHP Jimmy Haynes (12-7, 4.39 ERA) vs. RHP Rick Helling (7-8, 4.76); Wednesday RHP Jared Fernandez (1-2, 4.77) vs. LHP Brian Anderson (5-8, 4.88); Thursday RHP Ryan Dempster (7-11, 5.67) vs. LHP Randy Johnson (17-4, 2.61).
The bats: The D'backs have many productive players. Outfielder Luis Gonzalez leads the way with 24 homers and 87 RBI. Outfielder Steve Finley (16 homers, 62 RBI) and second baseman Junior Spivey (.328, 12 homers, 60 RBI) also have impressive numbers. First baseman Erubiel Durazo has 13 homers and 37 RBI in 113 at-bats.
The rest: This is the teams' first meeting this season.
