Louisville 8, Columbus 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio Chris Sexton, Jason Maxwell and Mike Stefanski each drove in two runs as the Louisville Bats beat the Columbus Clippers 8-2 Friday in an International League game.
Stefanski's two-run double and Maxwell's RBI single gave Louisville an 5-1 lead in the sixth. Maxwell also had a sacrifice fly in the fourth.
Sexton's RBI triple put the Bats up 1-0 in the first and he had an RBI double in the seventh. Kevin Witt had an RBI single and Gerald Williams scored on a wild pitch in the seventh as the Bats took a 8-1 lead.
Robert Perez had an RBI single in the fourth and Kary Bridges homered in the ninth for Columbus.
Chris Reitsma (1-0) got the win. He pitched nine innings and allowed two runs off four hits. He walked two and struck out seven.
Andy Beal (2-4) took the loss. He pitched six innings and allowed three runs off three hits. He walked four and struck out one.
