        • Records: Reds 58-52, second place in the National League Central. Rockies 50-61, fourth place in the NL West.

        • The arms: Today — RHP Brian Moehler (1-1, 6.55) vs. RHP Denny Stark (6-2, 3.95); Wednesday — TBA vs. RHP Jason Jennings (11-5, 4.49); Thursday — TBA vs. LHP Mike Hampton (5-13, 6.78).

        • The bats: Rockies outfielder Larry Walker leads the NL with a .364 average. He also has 22 homers and 77 RBI. First baseman Todd Helton is second in the NL in home average at .389. Overall, Helton is batting .319 with 19 homers and 73 RBI. The only other Rockies hitter with more than 35 RBI is third baseman Todd Zeile (58).

        • The rest: The Reds took three straight from the Rockies when the teams met April 23-25. Colorado had just eight runs in the series.
