Louisville 5, Charlotte 4

The Associated Press

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Raul Gonzalez's sacrifice fly drove in Jeff Frye and gave the Louisville Bats a 5-4 International League win over the Charlotte Knights on Friday night.

Chris Sexton tied the game at 4-4 with his one-out ground-rule double that scored two runs in the eighth inning.

Brooks Kieschnick was 3-for-4 for Charlotte, including a home run. Mike Zywica also had a home run for Charlotte with his solo shot in the fifth.

Jose Silva (1-1) collected the victory in relief, pitching a scoreless eighth inning. Mike Neu came on in the ninth to claim his 16th save on the season.

Charlotte's Bill Simas (1-2) came in with a 4-2 lead, but gave up three runs in the eighth to take the loss.
