Louisville 6, Charlotte 0

        FORT MILL, S.C. — Gerald Williams went 4-for-5 with a solo homer and Jose Acevedo pitched seven shutout innings as Louisville beat Charlotte 6-0 on Sunday in the International League.

        Acevedo (8-6) gave up just three hits while walking four and striking out seven to get the win for the Bats (61-49).

        Joe Crede was 3-for-3 for the Knights (40-68) but Charlotte managed just five hits. Jim Parque (7-9) allowed three earned runs on nine hits through more than five innings. He had two strikeouts.
