When: 7:10 p.m. today and Tuesday; 12:35 p.m., Wednesday
Where: Cinergy Field.
TV: Today, Fox Sports Net.
Radio: WLW-AM (700).
Records: Reds 51-47, second place in the National League Central. Pirates 46-52, fourth place in the NL Central.
The arms:
Today RHP Ryan Dempster (5-10, 5.26) vs. Jimmy Anderson (7-10, 5.01)
Tuesday RHP Jimmy Haynes (10-6, 4.21) vs. RHP Kip Wells (10-6, 3.38)
Wednesday Jared Fernandez (1-1, 4.00) vs. LHP Joe Beimei (1-4, 3.50).
The bats: The men to fear are Pokey Reese, the former Red, and Adam Hyzdu, the Moeller High product. Reese has a nine-game hitting streak. He has 11 RBI in those nine games. Hyzdu had 11 RBI and three homers in just two games over the weekend.
The rest: The Pirates are 8-3 since the All-Star break. One of the two losses was the Reds. The teams split a two-game series in Pittsburgh last week.
