John Fay's power rankings

We're taking a different look this week for the All-Star break. We figure 16 of the 30 clubs are toast — no hope at all of reaching the postseason. So we'll look at odds of the other 14 of making the playoffs.
       1. New York Yankees 6-5 What they don't have, they'll buy.
Atlanta 5-3 Lead is almost 10 games. With that pitching, that's a lock.
Boston 5-2 If they don't win the East, Sox will get the wild card
Los Angeles 5-2 If they don't win the West, Dodgers will get wild card
Seattle 3-1 West race is still too close to call
Arizona 3-1 Series favorite if the D'backs make the playoffs
Minnesota 3-1 Best team in a weak division, solid all around
St. Louis 4-1 Too early to tell if they can overcome Kile tragedy
Reds 5-1 Cards are deeper and have budget to make moves
Oakland 6-1 Catching Seattle is one tough assignment
Anaheim 8-1 Keep waiting for Angels to fade, but they haven't
San Francisco 10-1 Have played well against the rest of West
Houston 15-1 Bad start might have doomed Astros
Chicago White Sox 20-1 Only chance is winning Central
