We're taking a different look this week for the All-Star break. We figure 16 of the 30 clubs are toast no hope at all of reaching the postseason. So we'll look at odds of the other 14 of making the playoffs.
1. New York Yankees 6-5 What they don't have, they'll buy.
Atlanta 5-3 Lead is almost 10 games. With that pitching, that's a lock.
Boston 5-2 If they don't win the East, Sox will get the wild card
Los Angeles 5-2 If they don't win the West, Dodgers will get wild card
Seattle 3-1 West race is still too close to call
Arizona 3-1 Series favorite if the D'backs make the playoffs
Minnesota 3-1 Best team in a weak division, solid all around
St. Louis 4-1 Too early to tell if they can overcome Kile tragedy
Reds 5-1 Cards are deeper and have budget to make moves
Oakland 6-1 Catching Seattle is one tough assignment
Anaheim 8-1 Keep waiting for Angels to fade, but they haven't
San Francisco 10-1 Have played well against the rest of West
Houston 15-1 Bad start might have doomed Astros
Chicago White Sox 20-1 Only chance is winning Central
