Griffey needs more trophy space

The ball Ken Griffey Jr. hit for his 2,000th hit is in a safe place. Griffey got No.2,000 on an infield single Tuesday night against Seattle. How long it takes before the ball is sitting in Griffey's trophy room in Orlando, Fla., is hard to say.
It took us seven years to unpack the Gold Gloves, he said.
Griffey has the baseballs from all his big milestones 100th homer, 1,000th hit, 200th homer, 300th homer, etc., etc. but the memories of the milestones aren't so easy to recall.
I don't remember 1,000, he said. It was Minnesota I think. The 1,500th was off (John) Burkett, a home run in Seattle. The 300th home run was off Jose Mesa. I remember that, because he became a teammate. The 400th was off Rolando Arrojo in Colorado. That was a cheap birthday gift for my dad.
Junior hit No.400 on Ken Griffey Sr.'s 50th birthday.
So of all the trophies and milestone balls, which means the most?
I don't know, he said. I'm not the collector. The lady of the house (wife Melissa) takes care of that.
