NEW YORK The Reds have been in first place since April 26, but you wouldn't know it by the National League All-Star balloting.
Only one Red shows up in the voting, which was released Monday, despite the team sharing the NL Central lead.
Ken Griffey Jr., who has played only 20 games because of injury, is sixth among outfielders. Griffey trailed San Francisco's Barry Bonds, the Chicago Cubs' Sammy Sosa, Montreal's Vladimir Guerrero, Houston's Lance Berkman and San Francisco's Tsuyoshi Shinjo.
Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton moved past the Houston Astros' Jeff Bagwell. Helton trailed Bagwell by 45,000 votes last week, but pulled ahead by 75,180 this week. Helton, the National League's starting first baseman at last year's All-Star Game, has 410,039 votes to Bagwell's 334,859.
Bonds leads all vote-getters with 845,032 votes.
Updated AL balloting will be released today.
The AL and NL All-Star teams will be announced on Sunday, June 30, on ESPN at 7 p.m. EDT. The All-Star Game is July 9 at Milwaukee's Miller Park.
