Lousiville 2, Norfolk 1
The Associated Press
NORFOLK, Va. Pinch-hitter Bobby Darula hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning Friday night, bringing home the winning run as Lousiville beat Norfolk 2-1 in a rain-delayed International League game.
Darula's fly ball to right field scored Ruben Mateo, who had singled leading off and advanced on a single by Jesse Levis and a sacrifice.
Jared Fernandez (10-3) allowed just three hits and one run in six innings. He struck out four and walked none as the Bats snapped a four-game losing streak.
Felipe Lira (1-3), the Tides second pitcher, took the loss. He allowed both runs after relieving Tyler Walker in the fourth inning.
Mark Johnson homered in the fourth for the Tides' only run.
The game was delayed for about two hours due to rain in the fourth inning.
