LOUISVILLE, Ky. Eric Valent went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs as Scranton beat Louisville 11-4 on Thursday in the International League.
The Red Barons swept the four-game series at Slugger Field in Louisville, scoring 10 or more runs in each game.
Nick Punto and David Doster also had three hits and Marlon Byrd and P.J. Forbes had two hits for Scranton.
For Louisville, Brandon Larson was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Scranton starter Eric Junge scattered five hits over seven innings and gave up two runs.
Seth Etherton gave up four runs in 2 1/3 innings and took the loss.
