Reds outfielder Austin Kearns' five homers and 17 RBI in May earned him National League Rookie of the Month accolades.

        Kearns also had four doubles in May and led all NL rookies in runs scored with 14. He hit .261 (23-for-88), and recorded a slugging percentage of .477 and an on-base percentage of .377.
