Reds vs. Braves

        • When: 7:05 p.m. today; 1:25 p.m. Saturday; 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

        • Where: Cinergy Field.

        • TV: Today, Fox Sports Net and TBS; Saturday, Ch. 19, 45.

        • Radio: WLW-AM (700)

        • Records: Reds 32-21, first place in the National League Central; Braves 29-25, first place in the NL East.

        • The arms: Today — RHP Chris Reitsma (3-1, 2.52) vs. RHP Greg Maddux (5-2, 3.25); Saturday — RHP Jose Rijo (4-2, 4.36) vs. LHP Tom Glavine (8-2, 1.59); Sunday — RHP Elmer Dessens (3-3, 2.78 ERA) vs. LHP Damian Moss (2-1, 2.63).

        • The bats: The Braves are 11th in the National League in hitting and runs scored. Chipper Jones is hitting .327 with six homers and 31 RBI. Andruw Jones is hitting .271 with 12 homers and 34 RBI. Gary Sheffield (six homers, 18 RBI) had only one at-bat in the series with Cincinnati last weekend because of a sore hamstring. He was limited to pinch-hitting duty in games Tuesday and Wednesday.

        • The rest: The Braves took two of three from the Reds last weekend. The Reds missed Glavine that series. The Reitsma-Maddux matchup is the only repeat matchup.
