        • The bats: The Rockies haven't put up their usual big numbers. They're hitting only .251 as a team. Todd Helton is hitting .284 with two homers and 12 RBI. Todd Zeile is hitting .327 with three homers and 10 RBI. Larry Walker is hitting only .265 and has been bothered by a sore elbow, but the Rockies got good news when an MRI showed no bone spurs. Walker might return to the lineup against the Reds.

        • The rest: Colorado has lost eight of its last 10. The Rockies are coming off a 7-1 loss to Arizona in which Randy Johnson struck out 17. Colorado took six of nine from the Reds last year, including five of six at Cinergy.
