Pudge may be headed for DL
The Associated Press
RANGERS: Ivan Rodriguez, who is not on Texas' road trip to Seattle because of a sore lower back, underwent an MRI exam Friday but results were not immediately known. He was scratched from the lineup Monday because of back spasms, and the Rangers said they don't know if they'll put the All-Star catcher on the disabled list.
But manager Jerry Narron said if Rodriguez is not ready by Tuesday, the team will disable him.
ASTROS: Tests to see if pitcher Wade Miller has disc or circulatory problems have come back negative. He went on the 15-day disabled list Monday because of neck and arm pain.
Team physicians believe Miller has a pinched nerve at the base of his neck.
BRAVES: Gary Sheffield was out of the lineup for the third straight game because of a sprained left wrist. Sheffield, who took a cortisone shot Thursday, was hit on that wrist twice April 11.
STRAWBERRY ADMISSION: Former major-leaguer Darryl Strawberry admitted violating the rules of his probation by smoking and having sex with a resident at his drug treatment facility, and he told a court in Tampa, Fla., he's willing to accept the consequences.
