Mariners, A's to visit Cinergy
2002 REDS SCHEDULE
Cincinnati Enquirer
The Reds released their schedule Wednesday. As expected, the Cleveland Indians aren't on it, but the teams from the American League West are.
The Reds had played the Indians each year since interleague play began in 1997. The teams played home-and-home series from 1998 to last season.
The Reds will go to Anaheim to play the Angels June 7-9, followed by a series with the Texas Rangers in Arlington June 10-12.
The Seattle Mariners, fresh off their 116-win regular season, play at Cinergy Field June 18-20. The Oakland A's, who had the second-best record in baseball, follow the Mariners. The A's play a weekend series here June 21-23.
The Reds' traditional Opening Day is April 1, this year against the Chicago Cubs. The three-game series with the Cubs is followed by a three-game set with the Montreal Expos.
The Reds have home weekend series with San Francisco, St. Louis, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Milwaukee (twice), the New York Mets and San Diego.
Tickets don't go on sale until Feb. 16.
For more information, call the Dugout Store in the downtown Westin hotel (513) 421-4510, extension 4300.
Game times have not been released, and dates are still subject to change.
