Cubs here for Opening Day

Barring changes, the Chicago Cubs will furnish the opposition in the Reds' traditional home opener April 1 at Cinergy Field.

Though the Reds haven't released their 2002 schedule, a tentative version of the Cubs' 162-game slate appears on their Web site. The Reds last opened the season against Chicago in 1995.

This will be the final Opening Day game at Cinergy Field. The Reds are scheduled to move into Great American Ball Park in 2003.
