Reds Notebook
Griffey Sr. feeling better
By John Fay
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Ken Griffey Sr. was scheduled to spend Wednesday night in a hospital. Griffey, the Reds' hitting coach, has been undergoing tests since being admitted Monday after complaining of shortness of breath.
He said he feels a lot better, Reds manager Bob Boone said. But he's still undergoing a lot of tests.
So far, all the test results have been normal.
ROTATION: The Reds' pitching rotation has become the Reds' mystery. Boone has not set the rotation beyond Monday's off day.
I'll wait and see how Joey (Hamilton) and (Jim) Brower do, Boone said.
Brower and Hamilton, Wednesday's starter, were added to the rotation, and Dennys Reyes and Chris Reitsma were taken out.
My assumption is they'll do fine and we'll go with the rotation as it is now for the rest of the year, Boone said.
But Boone added that he'd like to start Reyes, the left-hander, against Philadelphia.
So stay tuned.
UP NEXT: Brower (7-9, 3.75 ERA) faces former Reds right-hander Jason Bere (10-9, 4.42) in the final game of the homestand, at 12:35 p.m. today.
