RiverBats declared IL champions
International League president Randy Mobley announced that playoffs will not continue because of Tuesday's terrorist attacks and declared the Louisville RiverBats, the Reds' Triple-A affiliate, champions of the International League for 2001.
This is the first International League title in Louisville franchise history.
Louisville held a 1-0 lead over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons (Phillies) in the Governor's Cup Championship Series before Tuesday.
