Reds get Pickering from Orioles
The Reds obtained first baseman Calvin Pickering from the Baltimore Orioles for future considerations. He will report to the Reds' Triple-A Louisville affiliate.
Pickering batted .282 with 21 home runs and an International League-leading 98 RBI during 131 games for Triple-A Rochester this season.
Pickering, 24, has spent his entire seven-year career in the Baltimore organization. He was the Orioles' 35th-round selection in the 1995 amateur draft.
