Rijo pitches for Louisville today
Jose Rijo will pitch in relief for Triple-A Louisville today.
Earlier this week, the right-hander said he might give up his comeback attempt rather than return to the minors. Rijo, 36, hasn't pitched in the majors since 1995, when he had the first of four major elbow operations.
Rijo was in the clubhouse Saturday and said he had decided to go back to the minors. He'll pitch one or two innings.
