Reds send Reith to Louisville
 Reith
|
The Reds optioned rookie right-hander Brian Reith to Triple-A Louisville after Sunday's game.
Reith had made four starts since being called from Double-A Chattanooga. He went 1 2/3 innings Saturday, allowing six runs in the Reds' 8-5 loss.
We don't need a fifth starter for 10 days, Boone said. In 10 days, it might be Pete (Harnisch's) start. (Reith) is the logical one.
Reith, 23, was 0-3 with 6.61 ERA.
